Even though poker is clearly a game of ability and skill, it is also certain that the luck plays an important role regardless if you are playing live or online poker.
For instance if a player only receives bad cards, even though he may have a great poker strategy, he will never win, and the opposite is also truth. If a player has a very bad poker technique, but start to receive all the good cards, he can even win against a poker pro.
Therefore it seems clear that both the ability of the player and the luck will play a crucial role in the game results. A good example of that could have been seen during the last WSOP edition, when David Moon arrived to the final table as a chip leader, and recognized that he had been getting great cards during the entire tournament.

A MIX BETWEEN LUCK AND SKILLS
Poker has become the more popular cards game at the moment, receiving more media attention than ever before.
From the many modalities of poker, Texas Hold’em is without any doubt the one that have more followers. That can be due to the fact that it is the easiest to learn and also to the fact that the biggest international tournaments are disputed in this modality, and that is why it is the one that we can see more often in the media.
In this modality of poker, the abilities and skills of the players play a fundamental role, as their ability to interpret the gestures of their opponents and their probabilistic calculation skills will be decisive in the final results. However, the luck is also a factor that should be taken into consideration, because sometimes many poker hands are won thanks to it.
